Quartz Movements
A Quartz movement uses a small battery that powers an electronic oscillator regulated by a quartz crystal to keep time. This crystal oscillator creates a signal with a very precise frequency, so quartz movements are very accurate. Quartz movements have become the world’s most widely used timekeeping technology.
